It isn't always easy...
Today was the first time in several weeks that I woke up and felt gratitude. Not only that, I expressed it outwardly. That simple act made me very grateful and the day continued in a gracious way.
I truly missed feeling gratitude. Initially, I was hesitant to share my lack of gratitude. But then I remembered the following: “Even the great masters had a bad day, they just didn’t write about it.” Well, why not write about it? Sharing has always worked for me.
My life is full of blessings and yet, at times all of those blessings escape me or go unnoticed. Nothing in particular was keeping me from gratitude, it was everything in general. Sometimes, I feel like I am spinning my wheels in the education business. People benefit from working with me, reading my words, and talking to me. However, the financial* aspect is lacking.
Thankfully, in my down time, a few clients shared what I have done for them. One said, “Too bad you can’t bottle what you do, you’d be a millionaire.” Another called me “the tapper!” She said, “You have helped me to tap into what is inside of me.” Wow, with words like that it’s all good.
I can’t say exactly why my gratitude comes and goes, but I thought this was an appropriate time of year to express what I was feeling... the good and the bad.
Here’s hoping gratitude fills your life and your heart. Happy Thanksgiving!!! Be well... Nancy T.
