What inspires you?
Each of us has had some sort of inspiration that has kept us going on our life path. For some it is a person, others are inspired by a place or a thing. Personally, nature is my biggest inspiration.
I use Mother Nature every chance I get. Whether I am inside looking out at the sky dropping snow or I am playing in the fluffy white stuff. I have always found nature to be the best thing in the world. When I am feeling stressed, I go for a walk. I head down to the creek or up to Thumb Butte. I look and I listen. I observe what is in front of me. Sometimes, all it takes is the sound of a woodpecker. Woody grabs my attention and I think, “Man, I’d hate to have to pound my head into a tree to get something to eat!” But, the woodpecker doesn’t seem to mind and that inspires me to look at life a little different.
Inspiration is everywhere really. It isn’t always easy to see it, especially when we are soooo in our head... worrying, wondering, weary. Sometimes inspiration is in the written word.
Tonight I had someone tell me that my words come at the right time. That these blogs have inspired them. I said, “Good, because sometimes I feel that I am just writing and it gets lost in the ether.” She said, “No, I really enjoy it.”
So, if this blog or any of my stories or words have inspired you, please let me know. As a matter of fact, let me know what inspires you, whatever it is. Because maybe it will inspire someone else and help them get through a rough patch. You just never know.
Let inspiration be your guide. Be well... Nancy T.

I find Christmas time inspiring right now...I listen to a bunch of wonderful Christmas music and just fade away as the frigid cold piles up outside...

OK ... I've pondered this for 2 days. I suppose just waking up in the morning inspires me ... to do something or not!

Nancy,
You inspire me to remember to be mindful of what I have to grateful for. When I was leaving the islands (Caribbean) I lost everything because of the downturn in the economy and to crime. Then reading your blogs about being grateful for what we DO have reminded me once again about how I used a sea bean I found on Limestone beach as a reminder to be grateful for what I had. I put it my pocket with my change so that every night when I took my change out I would notice the sea bean and meditate for a moment on all the wonderful things I did have to be grateful for. So, even though I lost everything I work for the past 20 years, I thought about the 4 incredible, intelligent and talented children I have and the love we share together. I felt like the richest man in the world. So thanks to your blogs I carry that sea bean again. So first thing in the morning when I take my change off the dresser I see the bean and take a moment to reflect once again and it keeps you mindful of all you have rather than worry about what you don't have...thanks Nancy..I haven't forgot about your painting. WOW, leave it to Mother Ocean to give you a great reminder. I love the idea of the sea bean being a reminder of your gifts. We often forget the people and hold on to the monetary things in life. I'm so glad that you shared the depth of what is important to you in life. I look forward to more communications in the new year. AND, I look forward to the "Borghi original"... whenever it shows up on my doorstep. Much love to you Paul.... happy holidays. NMT
