Adventure

Slowly I sink my feet into the warm sand. Small grains of sand fall around me as I create a small hole that suits me well. I gaze out over the crystal blue Caribbean Sea. Waves gently lap against the shore bringing treasures to a few tourists scouring the beach. The sun melts into my skin as the cool breeze awakens my nervous system through my hair follicles.

It is amazing how quickly I can sink into the vision of this place. This adventure is not far off, but I’m not there yet. However, visualizations may take us to far away places quickly and easily. They assist in our transformation: physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Adventures don’t mean we have to travel. We can go countless places without leaving home. To assist in their healing, I encourage clients to use visuals all the time. In my book “Finding My Way From Paralysis To A Rich, Full Life*,” I detail how to use visualizations to heal, to find balance.

Visualizations can transport you. They can help you to relax and find peace. Most of us have a place that calms us. A spot on this Earth that allows us to take a breath and just be. It may be overlooked in times of stress, but it is always there.

Soon I will be lapping up more visuals, ones that serve me well. Water is always a healing space and the C’Bean is home to me. Another adventure, perhaps. Another opportunity to capture more of me, most definitely. Find what works for you and then, take an adventure. Be well... Nancy T.
