Lost & Found
A wise woman recently shared this saying with me. “It's hard going from “prime-time” to “day-time programming.” In the islands, “prime time” was a phrase similar to being “golden.” Everything was “prime time,” said with a slight drag on the tongue.
I’ve felt a bit lost lately. The first few weeks home was an easy adjustment as clients came for those long overdue sessions. As the weeks have passed, that has slowed. I am into my ebook conversion. It is a back and forth process and one that I am paying someone to do for me. I do check her progress and make adjustments in due time.
Yesterday, I spent a lot of time on the phone, catching up with people. As I listened to their tales, I came to realize that I am not the only person who feels a bit lost. Even in chaos, they have their days of wonder.
Today, I woke up and I embarked upon some of my morning island routines. I have to say, I felt calm, relaxed, and at peace with myself. Unlike yesterday, I found myself on this day.
The thing is, I was never “really” lost, I was just down on myself for not doing or for not knowing what to do. When I let that go, I found more of me and I was ready to take further steps through life.
So, if you are feeling lost, give yourself something that you need* and you might be surprised how easily you find yourself again. Happy hunting! Be well... Nancy T.
